Theatre has been an important and integral part of our district for many years, dating at least back to the junior and senior class plays of 1951. Troupe #3985 has been a fixture at East Campus since 1984. Thespians in our school are joining and long and lasting tradition.

Any student at MCHS East is welcome to become a member of our drama club, and with continued involvement in our plays and musicals, a Thespian.

To achieve Thespian status, a student must participate in two mainstage shows (either as cast or crew), attend a majority of Thespian meetings throughout the year, and earn 10 Thespian points.

​

What are Thespian points? For every production in which a student participates, he or she earns points. The more plays a student does, the more points they earn, including special honors, such as Honor Thespian and National Honor Thespian.
